The Purpose Of This Page

The purpose of this page is to post stories (fictional) that are set in and around my home town of Hyde, Greater Manchester. My name is Paul Raimi. I am 26 years old at this writing, and I am an aspiring author. I have had a few short stories published in various magazines and e-zines, and I currently working on my novel, 'The Second Coming.' The location in that novel is based on Hyde, but I have changed it for the course of the story.

This blog will be interesting to fans of 'horror-in-a-small-town' variety, and I hope I get some followers. Hyde has had it's fair share of the limelight in recent years with the Shipman case as well as other things. My main purpose (and the purpose of this page) is to unite readers and authors who love doing the same thing.

There will be numerous stories here, one which I plan on doing tonight, called 'The Cemetery,' based in Hyde Cemetery, although set in a completely different part of the world, people from Hyde will instantly recognise the Hyde Chapel that is in the cemetery, and the way the headstones are set. I am hoping that people will enjoy what I have to offer, and of course, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. So would constructive criticism.
